The Sudbury Writer's Guild is a non-profit organization that aids Northern Ontario writers through communication, advice and support networks.
The Sudbury Writers' Guild meets the last Thursday of every month from September to May, with a Christmas party in December and a picnic in June. The meetings are held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Parkside Centre at the YMCA located at 140 Durham Street , Sudbury, Ontario.
Members, guests, and newcomers get together each month to share their work and their writing experiences with each other.

Guest speakers are invited to speak about various topics such as editing, publishing, aspects of the writing process and much more.

Our monthly newsletter Sharpen Your Quill delivers information on contests and book reviews, as well as regular columns by our members and the newsletter editor.
Members of the Sudbury Writers' Guild also take part in conferences and workshops througout the country. In July 2002, the Sudbury Writers' Guild parterned with the Canadian Authors Association (CAA) to bring Northern Ink, the CAA National Writing Conference, to Sudbury.
